Sept. 2018 brings WSL Jewel Ball, American Idol Auditions, City-Wide Garage Sale, and more to the Palmer Events Center

Summer is quickly turning to fall, and for the Palmer Events Center (PEC) there is no slowing down! Sixteen different events will keep the facility busy throughout the month of September.

Two consumer shows are part of the PEC schedule in September. Vintage Market and Event Company will host the 2018 City-Wide Garage Sale on September 1 and September 2 (www.cwgs.com); and Austin Area Quilt Guild’s 2018 Capital of Texas QuiltFest from September 27 through September 30 (www.aaqg.org).

The Women’s Symphony League of Austin will host the 2018 WSL Jewel Ball at the Palmer Events Center on September 22 – for more information, go to www.wslaustin.org. In addition, open auditions for American Idol will take place at the Palmer Events Center on September 6; HomeAway.com, Inc. will host HomeAway 120’s from September 11 through September 14 (www.homeaway.com); and the Deaf Asia Foundation will host the MATA EXPO USA 2018 at SouthWest on September 15 (www.mataexpo.com).

Two sporting events call the Palmer Events Center home in September – Four on the Floor, LLC presents the 2018 Texas Roller Derby on September 1 and September 29. For more details, go to www.txrd.com.

Other events at the PEC in September are the Austin Community College’s Center for Public Policy and Political Studies’ 2018 Constitution Celebration Debate on September 25 (www.austincc.edu/cppps); SC Revelations’, LLC’s Slammedenuff Texas 2018 on September 16 (www.slammedenuff.com); the City of Austin’s 2018 Health Expo on September 19; the Austin Regional Manufacturers Association’s ARMA 2018 Trade Show on September 12 and September 13 (www.arma-tx.org); AAA Texas, LLC’s 4D Impairment Summit on September 18 (www.texas.aaa.com); the Austin Association of Facility and Maintenance Engineers (AAFAME), 2018 AAFAME EXPO on September 19 (www.aafame.org); the Austin Community College District’s ACC General Assembly 2018 on September 28 (www.austincc.edu); and the 2018 Bridal Extravaganza on September 9 (www.austinweddings.com).

Over 80 percent of the scheduled events represent repeat business – reinforcing the Palmer Events Center’s reputation as a dynamic meetings facility.

Looking ahead to October, the PEC shows nine total events booked at the Palmer Events Center.
