Palmer Events Center to Host Rodeo Austin Gala, Austin Energy Regional Science Festival, and More in February

AUSTIN, Texas – The Palmer Events Center will host 10 events during the month of February, including the Rodeo Austin Gala and Austin Energy Regional Science Festival, among others.

Feb. 1-2, the 2023 Build Expo, America’s premier regional building and construction show, takes place in Austin at the Palmer Events Center. The event will include product exhibits from the industry’s top companies, building and construction classes, and more.

Feb. 4-5, the Body Mind Spirit Celebration takes place at the Palmer Events Center, featuring exhibits and performances from the nation’s top holistic living professionals.

Also taking place Feb. 4-5 is Austin’s iconic vintage shopping experience, the City-Wide Vintage Sale. The City-Wide Vintage Sale will be open to the public Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Feb. 7-8, the Palmer Events Center will host the 23rd Annual Central Texas African-American Family Support Conference, featuring conversations, products, and services that support physical and mental health and well-being.

The Rodeo Austin Gala returns to the Palmer Events Center the evening of Feb. 11, featuring cocktails, a gourmet dinner, and live music as well as silent and live auctions, a raffle, and fundraising games that support Rodeo Austin’s mission of raising millions for Texas kids.

The Austin Marathon Expo takes place at the Palmer Events Center Feb. 17-18, including product showcases from the biggest companies in running and packet pick-up for marathon participants.

The Sneaker Travelers come to Austin on Feb. 19 at the Palmer Events Center from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., where attendees can buy, sell, and trade sneakers, vintage clothing, trading cards, art, and more.

The 2023 Austin Energy Regional Science Festival takes place at the Palmer Events Center Feb. 22-25 as close to 3,000 students from 3rd through 12th grade present their science projects for a chance to win awards and advance to state and international science fairs.

Feb. 26, the Texas Roller Derby returns to the Palmer Events Center for a bout between the Rhinestones and Holy Rollers.

Feb. 28, the City of Austin African American Heritage Network Employee Black History Program takes place at the Palmer Events Center, featuring a luncheon and performances in celebration of Black History Month.

The Palmer Events Center is proud to have achieved both Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC) STAR™ accreditation and LEED Gold certification, demonstrating the facility’s commitment to health and safety and energy and environmental design, respectively.
