Palmer Events Center to Host Austin Symphony Orchestra, Austin Oddities and Curiosities, and More in June

AUSTIN, Texas – The Palmer Events Center will host 15 events during the month of June, including the Austin Symphony Orchestra, Austin Oddities and Curiosities, four private events, and more.

On June 3, the Palmer Events Center will host the 2023 NPC Adela Garcia Classic, an International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) national qualifier event, featuring bodybuilding, men’s classic physique, women’s physique, and other fitness competitions.

Also taking place on June 3, Big Ole Queer Market, presented by Ella’s Apothecary and The Little Gary Shop, heads to the Palmer Events Center to kick off National Pride Month with an indoor local market. The event is free for all ages and is open from 12 to 6 p.m.

On June 4, the Palmer Events Center welcomes Slammedenuff Texas, featuring an indoor upperclassman showcase of unique cars and an outdoor car meet from 1 to 7 p.m.

June 7-8, the Traffic Show, presented by Cinco Kings, takes place at the Palmer Events Center. The Traffic Show is a biannual wholesale trade show, featuring brands that represent outdoor, active, fashion, action sport, fitness, and other segments to help retailers find the products they need for their retail stores.

On June 7, the City of Austin’s Stonewall Equity Employee Network (SEEN) will host a Pride Awareness event at the Palmer Events Center.

On June 13, the 2023 Convenience Retailers Expo (CRE), hosted by the Greater Austin Merchants Cooperative Association (GAMA) takes place at the Palmer Events Center. CRE 2023 brings together exhibitors and attendees within the Central Texas Convenience/Gas industry and the Wholesale/Distribution industry.

On June 15, the Austin Symphony Orchestra will perform Brahms X Radiohead: A Symphonic Fusion Experience offering a re-imagined experience of each work through the lens of the other, utilizing a full symphony orchestra and three solo vocalists.

On June 17, Austin Oddities and Curiosities returns to the Palmer Events Center, featuring vendors, dealers, artists, and small businesses of the strange, unusual, and bizarre, including taxidermy, preserved specimens, original artwork, horror/Halloween inspired pieces, creepy clothing, and more.

On June 18, the Texas Roller Derby returns to the Palmer Events Center for a bout of banked track roller derby, “the most entertaining sport in the world.”

June 24-25, the City-Wide Vintage Sale, Austin’s iconic vintage shopping experience, returns to the Palmer Events Center.

June 30 – July 2, Final Girl Fest, a three-day event celebrating women in media, takes place at the Palmer Events Center.
