Palmer Events Center to Host Austin Record Convention, NAVC Vet Tech, Austin Gem and Mineral Show, and More in October

AUSTIN, Texas – The Palmer Events Center will host 13 events during the month of October, including the Austin Record Convention, NAVC Vet Tech, the Austin Gem and Mineral Show, and four private events, among others.

The Austin Record Convention takes place at the Palmer Events Center Sept. 30 – Oct. 1, featuring the largest sale of recorded music in the country. Attendees will be able to purchase 78s, 45s, CDs, cassettes, 8-tracks, posters, collectibles, and more all under one roof.

Astra: Reality Collapse takes place Sept. 30 – Oct. 1 at the Palmer Events Center, as well, featuring a cutting-edge circus show where feats of acrobatic, dance, and aerial mastery fly around large-scale art.

Austin Fairytale Ball takes place at the Palmer Events Center on Oct. 1, featuring a show full of popular fairytale princesses singing, telling stories, and meeting and greeting guests. Admission is free for babies under 12 months.

On Oct. 12, the 2023 AAA Trade Show takes place at the Palmer Events Center. Hosted by the Austin Apartment Association, this event provides education and networking opportunities for those in the apartment industry.

Oct. 16-18, the NAVC Vet Tech HiVE event takes place at the Palmer Events Center to celebrate veterinary nurses and technicians and provide educational opportunities focusing on medical skills, professional development, and more.

The 2023 Austin Gem and Mineral Show takes place at the Palmer Events Center Oct. 20-22, hosting more than 30 vendors selling gemstones, jewelry, beads, mineral specimens, fossils, crystals, and more.

The Texas Roller Derby is bringing another bout of banked-track roller derby to the Palmer Events Center on Oct. 21, featuring a battle between the Cherry Bombs and the Rhinestones.

On Oct. 22, the Bitchcraft Fair takes place at the Palmer Events Center, featuring a magical marketplace, wicked workshops, photo booths, trick-or-treating, and more.

Signature Chefs Feeding Motherhood Auction takes place at the Palmer Events Center on Oct. 26, where talented chefs share their culinary talents, serving dishes inspired by ambassador families that include family recipes, pregnancy cravings, and kids’ favorite meals before guests sit down for a live auction. Funds raised go toward vital initiatives by March of Dimes, including research, advocacy, education, and support of maternal health services.
