October 2018 brings Austin Gem & Mineral Show, Livestrong Challenge, City-Wide Garage Sale, and more to the Palmer Events Center

Nine total events scheduled throughout the month at the Palmer Events Center will bring over 16,000 attendees through its doors.

Fall is in full swing in central Texas, and for the Palmer Events Center (PEC) there is no slowing down! Thirteen different events will keep the facility busy throughout the month of October.

Several consumer shows are part of the PEC schedule in October. Vintage Market and Event Company will host the 2018 City-Wide Garage Sale on October 20 and October 21 (www.cwgs.com); the LIVESTRONG Foundation will hold the 2018 Livestrong Challenge on October 21 (www.livestrong.org); and the Austin Gem & Mineral Society will present the 2018 Austin Gem and Mineral Show from October 19 through October 21 (www.gemcapers.com).

Other events at the PEC in October are the Austin Board of Realtors’ 2018 ABOR Realty Roundup on October 17 (www.aborroundup.com); the Austin Food and Wine Alliance’s 2018 Culinary Arts Career Conference on October 4 (www.austinfoodwinealliance.org); Austin Water’s 2017 Leadership Summit on October 19; the Texas Commission on Environmental Equality (TCEQ)’s 2018 TCEQ Autumn Environmental Conference and Expo, running from October 8 through October 11 (www.tceq.texas.gov); the Global Food Tourism Conference 2018 on October 15 and October 16 (www.globalfoodtourism.com); and BroadGroup’s EDGE 2018 event, running from October 23 through October 25 (www.edgecongress.com).

Over 80 percent of the scheduled events in October represent repeat business – reinforcing the Palmer Events Center’s reputation as a dynamic meetings facility.

Looking ahead to November, eleven total events are booked at the Palmer Events Center.
