May 2019 brings Austin Record Convention, Texas Roller Derby, City-Wide Garage Sale, and more to the Palmer Events Center

Spring is full swing, and for the PEC (Palmer Events Center), it’s full speed ahead! Thirteen different events will keep the facility humming throughout the month.

From May 17 through May 19, the Palmer Events Center will host the 2019 Austin Record Convention. Go to www.austinrecords.com for more information. In addition, the City-Wide Garage Sale returns to the Palmer Events Center on May 25 and May 26; go to www.cwgs.com for more details. Also, Maker Faire Austin will host the 2019 Austin Maker Faire on May 4; go to www.makerfaireaustin.com for more information.

Visit Austin’s 2019 Tourism & Hospitality Career Fair will be held on May 2 (www.austintexas.org); The National Physique Committee USA will host the 2018 NPC Adela Garcia Classic on May 26. In addition, the 2019 AAA Annual Trade Show will take place on May 23 (www.austinaptassoc.com); Star Dance Alliance’s Starpower 2019 event will take place on May 11 and May 12 (www.starpowertalent.com); the 2019 Life Time Tri Cap Tex Triathlon commences on May 27 (www.captextri.com); the 2019 TSBPA Swearing-In Ceremony will take place on May 25 (www.tsbpa.texas.gov); 2019 SlimePOP will take place on May 26 (www.slimepopevents.com); the Coastal Conservation Association will host the 2019 CCA Austin Annual Banquet on May 9 (www.ccatexas.org); POP Cats 2019 will take place on May 4 and May 5 (www.popcats.org); the Austin Symphony Orchestra’s 2019 Promenade Pops concert will take place on May 30, running through June 1 (www.austinsymphony.org); and the City of Austin City Manager’s Office will hold their 2019 Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month Celebration on May 1 (www.austintexas.gov/city-manager).

Over ninety percent of the scheduled events represent repeat business – reinforcing the Palmer Events Center’s reputation as a dynamic meetings facility.

Looking ahead to June, ten total events are booked at the Palmer Events Center.
