June 2018 brings Promenade Pops, 2018 Ketocon, City-Wide Garage Sale, and more to the Palmer Events Center

Spring is turning to summer, and for the PEC (Palmer Events Center), it’s full speed ahead! Fourteen different events will keep the facility busy throughout the month of June.

On June 1 and June 2, the Austin Symphony Orchestra will host its 2018 Promenade Pops concert. This year’s theme is “The Rat Pack! 100 Years of Frank!” Go to www.austinsymphony.org for more information. In addition, the 2018 COA 11th Annual Safety Conference will be held on June 26. KetoCon 2018 will take place at the Palmer Events Center from June 15 through June 17 (www.ketocon.org); the 2018 Bridal Extravaganza will take place on June 10 (www.austinweddings.com); Vintage Market and Event Company will hold their 2018 City-Wide Garage Sale on June 23 and June 24 (www.cwgs.com); the Next Gen Dance Intensive will be held on June 9 (www.nextgendancer.com); Nordic APIs, LLC will host their self-titled summit from June 11 through June 13 (www.nordicapis.com); the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy (TSBPA) will hold their 2018 TSBPA Swearing In Ceremony on June 23 (www.tsbpa.state.tx.us); the City of Austin – WDRM Division, Austin Energy will host their 2018 COA Mentor and Tutor Luncheon on June 7; the Austin Independent School District (AISD) will host their 2018 Urban Education Team 2.0 event on June 6 (www.austinisd.org); and the 2018 Keep Austin Playing event will be held on June 30.

Two sporting events call the Palmer Events Center home in June – Texas Roller Derby action returns on June 16 and June 30. Go to www.txrd.org for more information.

Over 80 percent of the scheduled events represent repeat business – reinforcing the Palmer Events Center’s reputation as a dynamic meetings facility.

Looking ahead to July, the PEC shows seven total events booked at the Palmer Events Center.
