August Calendar at Palmer Events Center Includes Dinosaurs, City-Wide Vintage Sale, Pop Cats, Le Garage Sale, Combat, and Roller Derby

AUSTIN, Texas – The Palmer Events Center will host 10 exciting events in August, including Jurassic Quest, City-Wide Vintage Sale, Pop Cats, Le Garage Sale, Melee Combat, Texas Roller Derby, and four more.

The 2025 EPA Region 6 CMOM Workshop will take place at the Palmer Events Center Aug. 4-5. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 6, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), Austin Water, and Water Environment Association of Texas (WEAT) will meet with municipal permit holders to discuss examples of strong capacity, management, operation, and maintenance (CMOM) practices.

Jurassic Quest takes place at the Palmer Events Center Aug. 8-10, featuring true-to-detail dinosaurs, interactive learning experiences, fossil digs, dinosaur rides, bounce houses, games, and more.

City-Wide Vintage Sale returns to the Palmer Events Center Aug. 16-17, bringing dozens of local vintage vendors together under one roof. Find great deals on vintage furniture, clothing, décor, music, art, and more.

Pop Cats 2025 takes place at the Palmer Events Center Aug. 16-17, featuring fun and engaging activities and vendors that celebrate cats, creativity, and community. Meet adoptable cats, bring your own cat, and explore Pop Cats’ whimsical Cat City.

The Tattoo Education Sessions are scheduled at the Palmer Events Center from Aug. 17-18. Sessions are programs built to support tattooers using real-world tools and shared experiences to help elevate both their craft and community

Le Garage Sale brings hundreds of vendors to the Palmer Events Center for their semi-annual sale Aug. 22-24, featuring independent boutiques and local labels together under one roof, where everything is on sale.

The Austin Train Show will take place at the Palmer Events Center Aug. 23-24. It will feature more than 25,000 square feet of model railroading, hundreds of vendor tables, a kiddie train, LEGO railroads, and more.

The City of Austin’s Small Business Connection Conference will take place at the Palmer Events Center on Aug. 27. Attendees can learn about untapped business opportunities in Austin and connect with industry leaders, local officials, and resource providers who play a key role in shaping the city’s business community.

Melee Combat Championship 5, presented by Melee Fight League, will host an MMA/Muay Thai Cage Fight on Aug. 30 at the Palmer Events Center.

The Texas Roller Derby returns to the Palmer Events Center Aug. 31 for a bout of banked-track roller derby between the Cherry Bombs and the Rhinestones set for 6 p.m. with doors opening at 5 p.m.
