August 2019 Brings AGC Conference, Texas Roller Derby, City-Wide Garage Sale, and more to the Palmer Events Center

AUSTIN, Texas – Summer is quickly turning to fall, and for the PEC (Palmer Events Center) there is no slowing down! Many different events will keep the facility busy throughout the month of August.

Several consumer shows are part of the PEC schedule in August. The Austin Independent School District will host the 2019 AISD Back to School Bash at the PEC on August 3 www.austinisd.org; City Wide Garage Sale LLC will present their 2019 City-Wide Vintage Sale on August 10 and August 11, as well as August 31 and September 1 www.cwgs.com; the Austin Oddities and Curiosities Expo 2019 will be held on August 17 www.odditiesandcuriositiesexpo.com; and Le Garage Sale will host their 2019 Le Garage Boutique Sale on August 24 and August 25 www.legaragesale.net.

One conference is on the books at the PEC in August – the Associated General Contractors of Texas will host their AGC of Texas 2019 Executive Safety Conference on August 21. For more details, go to www.agctx.org.

Two sporting events call the Palmer Events Center home in August – Texas Roller Derby action returns on August 10 and August 24. Go to www.txrd.com for more information.

Other events at the PEC in August are the Austin Bridge Builders Alliance’s Lunch for Global Leadership Summit on August 8 and August 9 www.abbaconnect.net; Slammedenuff Texas 2019 on August 18 www.slammedenuff.com; and the 2019 Austin Tattoo Invitational, running from August 30 through September 1 www.austintattooinvitational.com.

Over 80 percent of the scheduled events represent repeat business – reinforcing the Palmer Events Center’s reputation as a dynamic meetings facility.

Looking ahead to September, there are 12 total events booked at the Palmer Events Center.

Nearly 3 million people have attended 1,000+ events at the 131,000-square foot Palmer Events Center since it opened in 2002. Events at both the Convention Center and the Palmer Events Center and their websites can be accessed at www.austinconventioncenter.com.
