April 2018 brings Statesman Cap 10K Expo, Austin Career Expo, Paleo FX and more to the Palmer Events Center

Spring is full swing, and for the PEC (Palmer Events Center), it’s full speed ahead! Twelve different events will keep the facility humming throughout the month.

From April 6 through April 8, the Austin American Statesman will host the 2018 Statesman Cap 10K Expo and Race. All the latest in running gear will be on display and for sale – go to www.Cap10K.com for more information. In addition, the Texas Department of Information Resources’ 2018 DIR Connect Technology Expo will take place on April 4. Go to www.dir.texas.gov for more information.

On April 18, the City of Austin’s Human Resources Department will host the 2018 City of Austin Career Expo at the Palmer Events Center. For more details, go to www.austintexas.gov/department/human-resources. On April 20, the City of Austin will host the 2018 Austin Water Leadership Summit at the Palmer Events Center. For more details, go to www.austintexas.gov/hr. In addition, the 40th Annual Austin Ducks Unlimited 2018 Banquet will be held on April 19. For more details on this event, go to www.ducks.org.

In terms of sporting events in April, Texas Roller Derby action returns to the Palmer Events Center on April 7 and April 21. Go to www.txrd.com for more information.

Rounding out the Palmer Events Center’s April schedule, Paleo FX will take place from April 27 through April 29 (www.paleofx.com); Austin Water will host the 2018 Leadership Summit on April 20 (www.austintexas.gov/department/water); Austin Energy’s Green Building Program Monthly Educational Seminar will take place on April 10; the 2018 Austin National College Fair will be held on April 10 (www.nacacnet.org); the 2018 City-Wide Garage Sale will run on April 14 and April 15 (www.cwgs.com); and Art City Austin 2018 will be held from April 13 through April 15 (www.artallianceaustin.org).

Over ninety percent of the scheduled events represent repeat business – reinforcing the Palmer Event Center’s reputation as a dynamic meetings facility.

Looking ahead to May, the PEC shows no slowing down as ten total events are booked at the Palmer Events Center.
