Palmer Events Center to Host QuiltFest, Austin Train Show, Le Garage Sale, and More in August

AUSTIN, Texas – The Palmer Events Center will host 10 events during the month of August, including QuiltFest, the Austin Train Show, and Le Garage Sale, along with seven other events.

IMPORTEXPO, an automotive expo highlighting import and tuner car culture, takes place at the Palmer Events Center on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The event features live demonstrations, competitions, music, and a massive showcase of unique cars.

The Food Truck Owners Expo takes place at the Palmer Events Center Aug. 4-5, where food truck owners can meet suppliers, connect with other owners, and learn from industry experts.

POP Cats 2026 takes place at the Palmer Events Center Aug. 8-9, where cat lovers gather to meet adoptable cats, find quirky cat-themed merchandise, create cat art, and much more.

The City-Wide Vintage Sale returns to the Palmer Events Center Aug. 15-16, bringing a wide variety of vintage vendors together under one roof for Austin’s iconic vintage shopping experience.

The Small Business Connections Conference takes place at the Palmer Events Center on Aug. 19. The event is hosted by the City of Austin’s Small and Minority Business Resources, in partnership with Austin Economic Development and Austin Financial Services, to support entrepreneurs and business owners across the Austin area.

The Austin Area Quilt Guild’s 2026 QuiltFest takes place at the Palmer Events Center Aug. 21-23, where attendees can enjoy more than 300 quilts on display, browse through quilting vendors, watch special demonstrations, participate in a silent auction, and more.

The Austin Home Show takes place at the Palmer Events Center Aug. 22-23, featuring a one-stop shop with the best resources in home improvement, landscaping, and design services, as well as advice from industry experts and exclusive product offerings.

The 2026 EPA Regional 6 CMOM Workshop takes place at the Palmer Events Center Aug. 24-25. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 6, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), Austin Water, and the Water Environment Association of Texas (WEAT) are presenting the 23^rd Annual Capacity, Management, Operation, and Maintenance (CMOM) Workshop to allow staff from TCEQ and EPA to meet with municipal permit holders and discuss examples of strong CMOM practices.

The 2026 Austin Train Show takes place at the Palmer Events Center Aug. 29-30, bringing more than 25,000 square feet of model railroading, hundreds of vendor tables, raffles, clinics, and more.

Le Garage Sale returns to the Palmer Events Center Aug. 29-30, bringing the best of Austin’s independent boutiques and local labels together under one roof where everything is on sale.
