January 2019 brings Southwest Showcase, 2019 Bridal Extravaganza and more to the Palmer Events Center

January, 2019. Austin, Texas – The holidays are behind us and for the PEC (Palmer Events Center) there is no slowing down! Ten different events will keep the facility busy throughout the month of January.

Several consumer shows are part of the PEC schedule in January. Texas Weddings, Ltd. will present its 2019 Bridal Extravaganza on January 5 and January 6 [www.austinweddings.com]; Vintage Market and Event Company will host the 2019 City-Wide Garage Sale on January 19 and January 20 [www.cwgs.com]; the 2019 Le Garage Boutique Sale will take place on January 26 and January 27 [www.legaragesale.net]; and Austin Family News Magazine will host the 2019 AFNM Annual Camp Fair at the PEC on January 25 and January 26 [www.austinfamily.com].

Texas Roller Derby action returns to the PEC on January 12 and January 27! Over 1,100 roller derby fans are expected to check out all the free-wheeling action! Go to [www.txrd.com] for more information.

Other events at the Palmer Events Center in January include the City of Austin’s 2019 Austin Youth Council Career Fest on January 30 (www.austintexas.gov/department/human-resources); the 2019 Star of Texas Tattoo Arts Revival from January 18 through January 20 [www.golivefast.com]; Meeting Planners International (MPI)’s Texas Hill Country Chapter (THCC)’s Southwest Showcase, held in conjunction with the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE)’s Central Texas Chapter on January 23 [www.southwestshowcase.org]; and International Conference Management, Inc.’s 2019 Build Expo Employee Black History Program on January 9 and January 10. Over 80 percent of the scheduled events in January represent repeat business – reinforcing the Palmer Events Center’s reputation as a dynamic meetings facility.

Looking ahead to February, nine total events are booked at the Palmer Events Center.
