Jan. 2018 brings Austin Home & Garden Show, 2018 Bridal Extravaganza, and more to the Palmer Events Center

The holidays are behind us and for the PEC (Palmer Events Center) there is no slowing down! Twelve different events will keep the facility busy throughout the month of January.

Several consumer shows are part of the PEC schedule in January. The 2018 Austin Home and Garden Show will take place from January 12 through January 14. Also, Texas Weddings, Ltd. will present its 2018 Bridal Extravaganza on January 6 and January 7 (www.austinweddings.com); Vintage Market and Event Company will host the 2018 City-Wide Garage Sale on January 20 and January 21 (www.cwgs.com); the 2018 Le Garage Boutique Sale will take place on January 27 and January 28 (www.legaragesale.net); and Austin Family News Magazine will host the 2018 AFNM Annual Camp Fair at the PEC on January 20 (www.austinfamily.com).

Texas Roller Derby action returns to the PEC on January 21! Over 1,100 roller derby fans are expected to check out all the free-wheeling action! Go to www.txrd.com for more information.

Other events at the Palmer Events Center in January include the Star of Texas Tattoo Arts Revival from January 26 through January 28 (www.golivefast.com); Meeting Planners International (MPI)’s Texas Hill Country Chapter (THCC)’s Southwest Showcase, held in conjunction with the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE)’s Central Texas Chapter on January 24 (www.southwestshowcase.org); and SHI International Corporation’s Kickoff 2018 Vendor Show on January 18 (www.shi.com).

Over 80 percent of the scheduled events in January represent repeat business – reinforcing the Palmer Events Center’s reputation as a dynamic meetings facility.

Looking ahead to February, eight total events are booked at the Palmer Events Center.

Nearly 3 million people have attended 1,000+ events at the 131,000-square foot Palmer Events Center since it opened in 2002. Events at both the Convention Center and the Palmer Events Center and their websites can be accessed at www.austinconventioncenter.com.
